Social Media Week is the biggest global conference that brings together thought leaders and practitioners to explore how social media and technology are changing business, society and culture around the world. SMW hosts conferences on six continents, including Europe, North America, South America, Africa, Australia and Asia. For the first time, Social Media Week is coming to Dubai on November 15 and 16, making it the first city in the Middle East to host the event, which will allow attendees to connect with like-minded professionals, sharing thoughts, strategies, and failures.
The event is divided accordingly:
Social Enterprise is geared towards the professionals and their needs, and consists of panels, workshops, master classes, and keynotes tackling issues to be discussed by agencies, brands and media, mainly dealing with learning how social media can be incorporated by organisations.
Social Lifestyle is geared towards consumers and how they can take advantage of social media to empower themselves through their chosen art or hobby.
Social Playground is where professionals and consumers come together on the same playing field to peruse the new tech kiosks, workstations, games, etc all in an interactive and engaging environment.
Social Drama is a fun way to learn, engage and be entertained in social media through plays acted out on a stage.
There will also be an area specifically designed for participants to pitch their business ideas to a panel of investors for 15 minutes.
