Elderly man killed, two others injured, as cargo truck careens onto busy NYC sidewalk

The motorist, a 66-year-old man, was heading west on Canal Street before turning right onto Bowery Street around 10:20 a.m. when he suddenly hurtled onto the sidewalk and hit a 77-year-old man and two women, 71 and 52, authorities said.
